It would be an easy product to build in assembly-line style, so line up 4 or 5 sells and build them all at once.

Obviously, you can use different tools than mentioned here, as this is just a guide with his methods and his chosen finish, which can be anything you want. Other than that I really like this style and I think Scott did a great job on this build. Built on the cheap and with superior quality, this great-looking box shelving unit was put together with a full tutorial with pictures from FamilyHandyman.

He even offers suggestions to turn this into a more formal style vs the rustic look pictured here. This is basically a collection of single boxes which he details how to build individually. Some you can put the backing on, others leave it off so the wall can be seen behind the shelf. The construction is done with glue and nails. Then stain or paint however you prefer. When hanging, you can attach them all together with screws, and he offers his methods for hiding the screw heads.

This project, or most anything that falls into the wooden wall decor category, should do pretty well online. Built with basic tools, from AnikasDIYLife , this interesting and handy magnetic chalkboard is sure to sell. I would use a scroll saw, she uses a jig saw.

Just use whichever you have, obviously, her tool of choice is less expensive. Remember this: to sell these craft projects online or locally you need to keep costs down so you still have a decent margin for profit while still pricing competitively low.

You can get chalkboard paint that gives it the finish shown here. Very good and very cheap build and these sell very well online. This was built entirely from fence boards, so it costs the guy nothing. Just keep in mind, shipping these larger projects adds to costs , so selling this locally may be more practical than selling online for some people. Over at Dremel. Their instructions would have you use their Dremel tools for every step of the process.

Final assembly of the project, which includes flat boards and dowels, will be with glue and nails, or screws. She lays out the individual cuts required, angles, board thickness, and very good details on assembly. Her entire process is detailed with high-quality photos and instructions.

This is a fantastic tutorial. This type of project pertains to just about anybody and everybody, which means while it may not sell for a lot of money, you can definitely market to everyone and make good profits by selling in volume. This baby gym is a very popular item in online markets think Etsy.

This one was made with a full tutorial with pictures over at Instructables. Just be sure that any finish or paints that you use with this project are food grade. And they use screws in the dowel, which I would advise against; that screw could work loose over time and fall out. This could be done with a small dowel glued in a hole drilled through the main dowel.

But overall this is an easy build and falls into the category of great woodworking projects that sell, as parents are some of the biggest shoppers online. This kids-toy-set from TheProjectLady. These kinds of toys can really sell well, you just need to make sure they look fun and colorful.

So it may be best to package them in larger sets. While I know for a fact this would come out very nicely, and much easier, with a scroll saw… You can get away with using a jigsaw on these.

Whereas a scroll saw doing these cuts would leave a nice smooth finish if done properly. This one will require a bit more creativity since the layout and design will completely depend on the pieces of scrap wood you have. This can be a really good thing because each piece you build will likely be a unique, one-time piece. All you need, as far as material goes, is some square dowels and whatever kind of paint or stain you want to finish it with.

It could be a whole suite of coffee table accessories! This is an interesting and versatile sign idea from Amy at HerToolBelt. Maybe a birthday sign would sell well. I bet if you go with holiday signs, those could go on sale a month in advance and would probably do really well. This uses very beginner-friendly, glue and nail joinery, and the cutout is done with a jigsaw.

So it would be very easy to make a bunch of generic seasonal and event-centered signs, take some nice pictures, and post them online to sell. Then just build them to order depending on what the customers want. This makes for a great gift for the wife, girlfriend, or daughter, and anything that works for many different age ranges as a practical and affordable gift, can do very well selling online.

This sandbox makes for a great gift for toddlers and even older kids. This particular build is from CalRedWood. Its a well done set of plans, and is designed very solid and sturdy, and should last a long time.

Joinery uses cleats and screws. Just pre-build all the big pieces so most of the work is already done. These boxes are gorgeous and would sell like hotcakes to the right market. The trick would be sourcing good quality woods at a low price, so you can crank them out for a lesser cost. Joinery is screws, dowels, and glue. To finish you could use an oil finish, poly, or even spray on lacquer.

Any way you go, if you use different color woods as shown in the picture, it should sell really well. This is a really fun idea for a toy box, from the awesome site, HousefulOfHandmade. She does really cool stuff over there, you should check it out no affiliation.

Once parents find good quality and fun gifts for their children, they come back for more. Plus, they also spread the word. And parents tend to hang out with other parents. This particular style is definitely what I would consider higher-end, and the plans are well done by WoodworkingCorner.

This style of box could definitely demand a higher price tag. The wider the foot, the more the shell will expand. Mold the soles before. It is the same process as usual when done with a manual test. When heating the boot, is there a risk of modifying the geometry of the boot? What happens if I leave the boot in the oven for longer than 2 minutes? You could still put it 10 minutes and there would be no difference.

The answer comes from the materials found in the shell. They only need 2 minutes to completely absorb the heat they need to deform, but do not deform more if you leave them in the oven longer. There is no effect because the material has the same PU base as a normal boot. The boot has exactly the same behavior on snow. On the other hand, once a boot is fit with the Custom Shell, precision is increased.

It turned out great and this week, he will build the end tables.

Great plans! The second to last picture in this article shows the bench and tables in a Thompsons Honey Gold Water Sealer. Hey I was wondering how much stain you would have to use to cover the bench and table, do you have any idea? What is the measurement from the front of the stretcher to the front end of the bench slat? I would like to make one of these benches to go in our storm shelter and store supplies under it.

I will probably have to lengthen the depth of the bench seat to accomodate. This should provide enough depth for storage below the seat. What is the height to the bottom side of the seat slats?

Jay, thanks for posting this bench plan. I just finished mowing my lawn, sat down on my bench that I made 4 or 5 years ago and read this comment. Thanks Cj :. How much in materials did this cost to build the bench?..

Screws etc? Charlotte, NC. When I was connecting the short skirt pieces to the 1. I believe the plans called from 2. Any suggestions? Thanks again for your plans and your youtube channel. Keep rocking it! Just make the slats as long as you want them to be and make a third leg assembly. Put the third leg assembly right in the middle. Super easy. Great bench design Jay.

I modified this a bit to use the remaining composite deck pieces I had laying around. I made the seat and back from the decking, and added support underneath and behind to keep the decking material from flexing. These are really solid benches! What do you use to treat for outdoor use? It cost me around I sell them for And a special thanks to Jay for the design.

It helps with some extra cash. I want to thank you for the easy pattern and great video. I have never built anything from scratch and was able to make this bench without any problems. I was kind of nervous to use a saw, but I read the instructions and followed your pattern exactly. I am so proud of myself. I am going to build two tables and two chairs as well now that I have the confidence.

It really makes me feel good to read your comment Cecilia. I have just finished this project, using recycled wood and coated with a satin varnish. It has a beautiful appearance. Full credit to Jay on this one, well done. Made one of these for my house and the mother in law was so impressed she demanded I make one for her!

Great plans, thanks for sharing. Jay These little benches are great! You would pick up a half decent compass adjustable square from most DIY stores.

Thnx Jay. How high does the bench bottom sit? I would like mine to sit about 20 inches from ground to seat bottom. Jay-I just finished building the bench but I used Redwood instead. Very sturdy, comfortable and finished it in less than an hour. Thanks for the plans! I used pressure treated lumber and everything looked great at first. What did I do wrong?

Should I have used another material like cedar or cypress? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Love your videos and website, thanks for all you do!

Wood will move slightly regardless of what you do. Pressure treated lumber is normally the wettest when you use it. Sounds like after a month or so the pressure treated lumber dried out slightly causing the wood to move a bit. Regardless, you have a couple options. You could determine how much one leg is elevated off the ground when the other three are flat and remove that much material from the closest leg. Or you can drill a hole in the bottom of the leg and use a small galvanized lag screw to level the foot from below.

Just built two of the benches and a backless version, too. Looks really good and is rock solid. Thanks for the design and great instructions. Next project will be to follow the same kind of design and build a matching table. Hi Jay…. I made your bench today with structural pine 70 x 35 mm.

I improvised a little and added an arm rest on either side. This bench is awesome and a fantastic project for the family and it now looks grand standing on my porch. I stained it with Danish oil. Thanks mate. I like the natural look so what would you suggest to cover it with? Jay, Your not going to expect this one!

I just made two of your benches and four side tables, they worked beautifully on the sides of a gazebo entrance to my apartment. This is in Kingston, Jamaica : Thanks! Hi Jay, I like your bench plans. I want to make one for my daughter for Christmas. She would like one with arms. Can you please send me the cut list for this modification? Thank you- Richard. A big improvement would be to make the seat sculpted.

I have built several English Garden Benches with sculpted seats and they are very comfortable to sit in. I always use Pressure Treated Lumber as well as it will last much much longer outdoors. A properly sculpted seat starts down more sharply near the back and then gradually rises near the front of the bench. Just make sure both sides have the same sculpted shape and are installed with the same orientation.

Also, you could build it as shown and purchase cushions to make the bench more comfortable to sit on. Can you please tell me the model number of the drill you are using? Hey Imran. It is a Bosch 12v impact though.

I think they still sell it at Lowes. Hi Jay, I used your design to build the bench during the Christmas Holidays. Boy, what a stress reliever. Can you help me out with a few questions I have. Email me at your earliest convenience. Very easy to follow design. I just made one for our front porch in about 45 minutes. Thank you very much for sharing!!! This was great — thank you so much. Made one in a few hours, added 18inches and another support.

Your plans were spot on.
