I chose a hexagon shape and cut it out of some chipboard I had on hand, but plain paper would work fine! I sized it to be just a bit smaller than the 6 x 6 napkins we use. I made the rectangle the same length as the bottom of the hexagon sides and made it 2 inches wide to accommodate a 2 inch stack of napkins at a time. After I finished tracing what I needed to, I used my craft knife , plastic ruler and self-healing cutting mat to make my cuts.
