While it is similar in profile the larger diameter of the Freud bit does not allow set up for the deeper cut the bit is capable drawed making.

In order to make the cut in an over sized front you still have to do a trial-and-error method to set the back set. It cormer works just fine with the Rockler bit which is smaller in diameter.
