Pocket hole joinery is a method of joining pieces of wood together by drilling a hole at an angle in one piece of wood.

Then, you can join that piece of wood into another piece of wood by driving a pocket hole screw down through the hole and into the second piece. This type of wood joinery leads to faster and stronger joints. It also creates a beautiful joint with a hidden screw. Although some projects require filling the pocket holes for a seamless look, I am often able to place the pocket holes in hidden areas. I love this option. That basically means that it gives you the space to drive your pocket hole screws , but also builds in a place for the screw heads to rest when the screw is all the way in.

This is helpful because it prevents you from driving the screw out the other side of the material. It creates a stopping point. The Kreg Jig K4 also comes with a 2 square-drive bit that is 6 inches long, so pretty long. I've had this problem before on other collars so I looked at the bottom of the set screw. During manufacturing a small ring of protrusions were left at the bottom of the bevel. I sanded the bottom flat and have not had any problems since.
