The carrying case is decent quality, has a Velcro belt loop and has the Bosch logo I didn't realise until we were comparing our tools at work oh err missus - and I might have shopped around a little more had I known - but that said, it's still perfect if you want tiny, easy to operate and accurate mm measurements and the ability to store one measurement.

Bought this item in January Hardly used. Had to change the batteries for the first time in November and all properly fitted but the unit has now failed. It's a well built item and accurate when it works, but if it does not last more than 3 years 9 months warranty 2 years it's not worth the premium price. I'm reliably informed the Leica laser measure is far better and lighter in weight.

I had to build two frame walls. One was done prior to the purchase of the digital laser and the other one done after. I absolutely love it, it saved me buckets of time and inaccuracies!!

I have only used the laser in one mode measurement between two sections , but what a treat. The ceiling is m at points but changes of several millimetres every other meters. This has made building the wall section a breeze. Only owned it 2 weeks so cannot comment on durability.

It's so much quicker than using a tape measure, especially if the length is more than the tape measure maximum. It's much more accurate too - instant readings to a fraction of a centimetre.

We have had no problems with different surfaces. It's very easy to use, with only a few pages of simple instructions although the manual is much bigger than that because it's repeated in about 14 languages.

If I were looking for minus points I'd have to say you can't call the design pretty, but I wouldn't take off a star for that. If you: 1 Are lazy and 2 Love using gadgets where-ever humanly possible - you'll love this laser range finder!

I ended up using it to measure up the internal dimensions of my garage, the window frames across the house and various other point-to-point distances in my new home something not easy to do with a metal tape ruler. Would definitely recommend. Accurate and easy to use. A must have for any DIY enthusiast especially if you don't have somebody else to help you all the time with holding one end of a traditional tape measure.
