No more fiddling with that long screw to hold the insert in place. Love the finger hole for removing the insert, and perfect for hanging up when changing inserts. No more Rigid Table Saw Router Insert Yaml hex-heads to deal with. The saw blade cut a perfect zero-tolerance slot. None of that plastic "fuzz' to deal with.

Leveling and snugging the insert in place were easy to get perfect! And, in a true testimony to the value of this piece, I'm ordering two more first thing in the morning.

One person found this helpful. Worth the money. This is a Rigid Table Saw Router Insert 20 high quality table saw insert and worth the price. The insert is rigid stiff and flat and fits my Ridgid TS perfectly. Using a zero clearance insert which you cut by raising your saw blade up through the insert is the only way to guarantee perfect alignment and tight gaps between insert and blade.

These tight gaps prevent little wood pieces from entering the gaps and flinging dangerously around. I also like the adjusting screw on the side and at one end to take up any "slop". I used two pieces of lumber clamped to the saw bed. Very easy to install and set up. If you have ever had chunks of wood thrown back at you because they slipped into the gap between the blade and the factory guard, then I recommend one of these.

Or if trying to make a square cut on a small piece and had it tip into the slot and ruined your cut, this solves that problem too. Love it. I've run with the home-made versions for years and still experience chip out. I have cut cheap panelboard, plywood, laminate flooring and ripped some prized walnut without so much as one visible chip-out. This insert works as it should, but what makes it better than homemade versions is: perfect thickness with leveling screws for the poorly cast table-top, friction screws to lock it down side-to-side so there is no wobbling and, not to be unappreciated, it just looks good, too!

I don't know why I made excuses not to invest in this sooner. Like a previous reviewer stated, the RG1 won't fit the Ridgid jobsite table saw without some gentle modification. Nothing a little time with a belt sander can't fix - and doing so does absolutely no 'damage' to the insert whatsoever, since is just a heavy solid slab of industrial plastic Rigid Table Saw Router Insert 03 anyway. I used a Ridgid belt sander with 50 grit paper, set upside down on the saw table - which worked perfectly, since this sander is fairly stable upside down with the dust bag attached.
