How do u like the Dewalt vac as a means of helping to collect the dust into the yellow drum? Been thinking of doing a dust collection system. Dewalt vac is awesome there is an automatic kick on feature, I have all the tools plugged into it and it starts Mobile Project Center Workbench Plans 001 up automatically whenever I power on a tool. Really the purpose of the yellow drum is to act as a dust separator to not clog the filter on the vac. There is a unit called a dust deputy installed on it which does the dust separation.

Home Depot has a lid like dust separator for the orange bucket, it provides a shorter solution you can also check that. Cheap-o Skil I have had for a long time. Works for what I do, nothing fancy. There are a lot of high end options out there but thats my least used piece so far. My hope was incorporating it into this bench I would use it more, because setup and teardown were always tedious.
