I set up a dial indicator touching the outermost end of the spindle without the stone installed and it deviated no more than 0. If my math is right that would, with a perfect stone, translate to about 0. But with the no-name stone attached the wobble I actually get is 0. I use it for plane blades, chisels, turning tools, and all kinds of other gentle grinding uses. Many complain it is not as precise as the T brand, true to some extent but not really. With either brand, the stone surface will change parallelism with the tool arm over time.

You have to learn to mount the blade or tool and test where the edge hits the stone and adjust. I use a sharpie to color the edge and can get the edge aligned just where I want it. The T brand micro adjust would make it easier adjusting the tool arm and it won't fit this machine , and that is the only real difference between the two.

Early on, before learning how to use the machine, I think I stalled it a couple of times. It never happens now. Just about all of the T brand jigs will work with this machine. I highly recommend the T brand diamond wheel dresser and angle setter. The T brand square jig is no better than the Grizzly. I have the Grizzly turning tool jigs, which work ok after some modification, but I highly recommend the T SVD gouge jig.
