The draper sander is perfect for my needs. It is quite heavy and is yet to be bolted down to the workbench. It runs very quietly and even with a small vacuum cleaner attached for dust extraction it is still pretty quiet. The assembly instructions are not perfect but the pictures help to put the item together.

The sanding disc and the belt are already fitted when it arrives. A small piece of the dust extraction cover had been broken off, there was no damage to the packaging so it is a mystery as to how the damage occurred but it glued back on and is working fine. Very solid bit of kit, i have a feeling that this is one of those pieces of gear that just goes on forever.

I found this sander good value — easily set up and does the business. Works very well, easy to change belts and allign. Superb tool for usage of both hands while crafting finer, more delicate thingsgreat product. I bought this as i do small woodworking jobs regularly since retiring.

This is a heavy and substantially made item. There are a few matters that would definitely need addressing before i could rate this as a four or five star item. Secondly, the instruction manual is very clear and precise upon health and safety issues, but would be considerately better written on matters referring to the assembly of the add on parts. It took some time to work out but can be worked out if patient.

Thirdly, and most importantly which prevents this item being exceptional is the disc sanding table. The table rubs against the disc. This will require considerable modification hence the 3 stars. Would i recommend this to others?. Yes given the the standard of the main body and they were prepared to fiddle and modify the machine. I bought this to to replace a low cost machine from a supermarket. My comments tend to reflect this price.

I might have been a little more fussy at full price. The rigidity and speed of the abrasives are good. There is good material removal. My only criticism is with the general standard of fixings on the sander plate.

A bit of work will be needed there to get the best out of the machine. The poor fixings meant the plate could move into the disc and get eroded. Fairly pleased with the item.
