This model was on sale for 4th of july, and it had all the things we wanted.

Ice maker was a must! It spits out regular cubes, and also has a crush option. We have a 2yr old, so the fingerprint resistant stainless was a bonus. A lock button came in handy as well. I do like the sleek, thin shelves, they are easy to clean. The handles are wide, and easy to grab. I do think that the ice maker is abnormally loud though. In this price point it looks modern, and it has great features.

I called Whirlpool support and she said that she would dispatch a tech but if, in his opinion, there was nothing wrong, I would be charged for the Called Whirlpool support to complain about the doors being out of alignment.

She told me that she will dispatch a tech but if, in his opinion, there was no problem, I would have to pay for the house call. Please look at the pictures and decide for yourself if the doors are aligned properly. Would have sent it back but the fuss and trouble I had to get it here in the first place made me decide to just give up and keep it.

I will be looking at other manufacturers when I need another appliance! It runs quietly, the only loud noise being when the ice drops into the bin, which is to be expected. It cools well and makes plenty of ice. It has a stainless steel finish that was advertised to resist fingerprints, and it does—no smudges.

Not only do they look fantastic, they are quiet, user friendly and quality appliances. The side by side refrigerator replaced a 20 year old one that the compressor died of old age. The shelf capacity and storage is abundant. It runs quiet and makes ice quite quickly! We also bought the flat top electric range and the compact microwave oven that actually fits above our stove top!!

I've had this fridge about a month and I'd have to say It's great for a garage or a warehouse or something. It is, by far, the loudest, most obnoxious, annoying sounding fridge I have ever owned. When the compressor comes on the entire fridge vibrates, like it's getting ready to launch into space or something. And the ice maker is an entire process of noises all of its own. There's little sound insulation in this this thing.

That alone would make a huge difference in noise level. The space between the freezer section and the refrigerator section where the doors come together gets extremely hot. The delivery guys noticed this when they were doing the installation and were hopeful that it would remedy itself within 24 hours, which it did not. Also, the water hose to connect water to the ice maker is only about 12 inches long and I had to buy a longer water connector.

Other than these 2 issues, plus the fact that I have to unload and reload a new refrigerator I actually like the refrigerator. We chose the side by side for value and convience. How sad to realize that opening and closing the two included drawers is a nightmare. We've taken them in and out and it just seems like a poor design. How disappointing when there are guest over and they try to get something out of the drawer and they have to man handle it.
