DIY Wood Wall Art. Since I wasn’t sure exactly how big my final art piece would be when I started, I cut a whole lot of slices from some 4 x 4s I had in the basement. I cut a mixture of regular pine and pressure-treated pine, since the P-T pine had a really cool green color going on.  But age and moisture differences among my scrap wood meant that my pieces ranged from inches to a side for the pressure treated to about inches for some of the pine. This was compounded by some of the pine pieces not being square but rather more trapezoidal. On top of all these discrepancies and variations, 4 x 4 lumber has rounded corners, so even if all the pieces were the same size, I’d still have gaps in the corners if I tried to line them up. All of the small scrap wood projects above are fun and easy projects that can be completed with scrap wood. Many of the projects are great beginner projects for yourself, or if you’re having a fun DIY afternoon with a friend, significant other, or a youngster. DIY Reclaimed Wood 3D Wall Panel. Whether you want to give your living room or bedroom a little rustic charm, you need to build a wall that is in desperate need of a paint job. Also, if you are looking for something different for your room décor, these walls are simply perfect for your room. Even if your room’s wall has a good shape, try to consider something that can give a better look to your room’s wall.  Take all those pallets and scraps and cut them to the desired measurement to form a new 3D wall panel. Also, before starting the project, you should have to collect all the tools that are necessary for this project (the tools list is given above). And then start the work, as I did, start cutting the scraps with any type of the saw, I used a miter saw to cut these pallets that I have had.

A few weeks ago I participated in a challenge to make something with a summer festival theme. Summer Festivals seem to come in all shapes and sizes.

One of my favorite types of festivals are Balloon Festivals. There is something magical seeing the Hot Air Balloons light up and float in the sky. I also love seeing all the bright colors and clever designs of the balloons. I think it turned out neat with all the texture and colors!

This 3D pixel art is also a great way to use up some scrap wood. Check out the list of cool projects at the bottom of the post! You can get a free trial here. Then superimposed a few hot air balloons on to the mountain background. Now I printed this out wtih it was my template for the diy with scrap wood 3d wood art. Hot Air Balloon Template. Then cut the pieces at a 15 deg miter and 15 deg bevel. Then I just alternated between the saws. This was a very tedious part, but went faster than I thought.

I spread wood glue on the plywood and started gluing the blocks in place. I rotated the blocks in a pattern and also followed the pixel color template. To make glue up faster, I found qith easiest to get a section of blocks how I wanted them, then glue them in a group. This was a fun project to work on, and it can be done with any photo or design. What design would you make a 3D wood art of?
