If you cant source low profile swivel castors, a good alterantive would be have them recessed into the the bottoms. You would lose the space around them in each corner but it would keep them lower to the floor.

There is a commercial model available in Damro Furnitures, I have one, it accumulates a lot of dust if not cleaned regularly. Not my area of expertise.. I just admire all the creative people.

Regardless, this was the first time I installed drawer slides in an actual drawer. I found this really helpful video that detailed installing the sides, and I highly recommend watching it before starting this step. The general summary, though? The slides separate into two pieces, one that attaches to your drawer, the other that attaches to the drawer frame.

Then attach the second piece to the side of the drawer. It needs to be a very specific distance off the bottom of the drawer; to find out that distance, measure the primary slide from the bottom of the slide to the holes.
