It really cuts down on the joint slipping as I pull the trigger. They are a little pricey but worth the money. These hold a miter joint tightly closed when gluing or nailing. Can't imagine making such a joint without them. This particular clamp is quite small but works well for small trim. It also has a tendency to twist when compressing the clamp. One person found this helpful.

These things are much smaller than I expected. I've used them but they really aren't big enough for the large trim I was using. These clamps are fantastic for everything trim whether you are putting on an apron with a tiny fragile return miter or a giant 10" crown miter they work great!!
