However when I opened it I could see through the factory packaging that there were chips that look like when they drilled the holes the back blew out. I expect more from Kreg and I am disappointed.

The holes drilled for my Triton router match up perfectly and there is a hole to use the hight adjustment rod. I have an older router table with a non standard opening. I had to expand the opening and use the accessory corners from Kreg to install the plate. It took a while to do a decent looking job but it worked out ok. I would say if you have a standard opening that the plate fits go ahead and buy it especially if you are looking at the predrilled plate for the Triton router.

All in all I am very satisfied with my setup now. Got a new router and needed a new insert. This insert had holes drilled exactly where I needed them, including for the routers built-in lift's adjustment rod. You probably will need to use longer screws to mount the router. The insert comes with a table post that you screw into the table. I used it for some free hand routing of hard maple.
