Sure, there’s still plenty of terrible rap music out there, but it’s becoming easier and easier to ignore the output of mumblers and trappers because of the breadth and depth in quality Hip Hop that’s on offer these days – in the mainstream as well as in the underground. Hip Hop has never been more diverse than as it is today, and this list will reflect that diversity.  He joined Slum Village shortly after J Dilla’s departure, and the projects he has done with Slum Village starting with Best Rap Walk Up Songs 2020 Uk ’s Trinity: Past, Present And Future are all solid enough. But it is his solo catalog that is truly exceptional. His solo debut The Preface is a top 5 album of Hip Hop. Even though the year felt endless, the best rap still kept up the stakes, knowing the time we have might always be too short. So let’s go.
