Bad purchase. I don't know what I had in mind when I purchased this but it's not what I was expecting I've used other marking knives but the weight of this one threw me off a bit. Its heavier and thicker than what I imagined it would be.

I didn't know I wanted a heavy knife until now. I was also confused when I first felt the blade edge thinking it came unsharpened but when I used it, the difference is noticable. Not sure why I didn't buy this earlier. Much nicer and more convenient than other marking knives I have. Holds will in the hand and has a good heft to it. This is a heavy duty unit. It's what you'd use for marking lines with a straight edge. The blade is a high quality IBC blade steel and can be sharpened, and honed over and over and over quickly and to a surgical edge.
