So I used scrap I had laying around. The base is more or less the most tricky staiton, I used a straight-line jig to cut the other shape. Super easy to make one of these jigs and they come in handy!

Time to assemble, I used super glue and brads to do this. It's always shocking to me how strong super glue is!

These are on the side on purpose because you can hang this jig on the wall! The stop blocks work great for repeat pocket holes. I like to use both on one side so I can have one inner and one outer placement. Then of course you just flip them out of the unt when you don't need them. Of course the full plans are available if you're into that kinda thing. I don't have the Kreg version but the Renovator knock off version but this cradle will be perfect to build for that as well.

I think this will be my next project holee I'm starting to use pocket holes more now and I've pocket hole jig station plans unit mounted my jig to a workstation with some wood either side to make the wings. Yeah that's the palm statioj from Ridgid. I use it for everything lol. They also make a battery powered one. I think there are other brands that you could look at too.

Ridgid wont honor the Pocket Hole Jig Station Plans Journal warranty unless you buy it from Home depot or Homedepot. You're better off. Home Depot killed some local sttion that had excellent lumber and such. The HD is more geared toward building houses and redecorating.

All they sell is disappointment when it comes to materials. That's all true - they are pretty easy to make, the measurements for everything are out there - I think though, that by the time you made the kreg jig and the other parts that make it perfect you will have spent more on materials and time than it would have cost to make it.

Do you not value your time? I charge a dollar a minute to my customers so things have to make sense. For what I spent on my kreg and the value it has given me in saved time from the start - it was a deal. I'm in the process of building my shop tired of renting space in the city when I have a 2 car garage and as where I don't typically use pocket screws for things I find them indispensable for shop fixtures I don't want to spend a lot of time making.

There are two good reasons for making a pocket hole joint. It’s strong. And it’s quick. Basically, a pocket hole joint is a butt joint that’s held together with screws. The screws are driven into angled holes (pockets) in one piece. And they’re guided into the adjoining piece by a pilot hole drilled in the end of the pocket. As simple as it is, making a pocket hole joint can be a bit.
