Attach the fence to the miter-gauge head. Before installing the self-adhesive measuring tape, make sure the shallow groove in the top of the fence is clean and dry. To hold the miter gauge steady while you install the tape, place the miter gauge in the saw miter-gauge slot. Cut the tape at the 1” mark and the 25" mark using sturdy scissors or metal snips.
