I can't over-emphasize how easy this was to use. I'm a lady in her 50s, and this was my first project I'd designed myself and put together myself.

My dear sweet hubby was available to answer questions, but I built this myself. The adjust-once-and-done clamp to hold the boards made switching out boards super fast and held tight.

Not only was my work area neat, but it was noticeably easier to drill thick boards without the dust build-up. Assembly of my project went super fast because those pocket holes and the magnet in the driver bit held the Joinery Jig As Seen On Tv Express screws right where they needed to be.

You should really check out her video if you're thinking about buying this. She does a better, low-key job of explaining how the jig works than the manufacturer does. Their video has lots of happy testamonials, but Ana White shows in detail how to use it. Left me feeling confident that "I can do that! I'm attaching a photo of my unstained sink vanity.

The baseboards aren't redone yet either. I was too excited to write this review to wait for that! Images in this review. Here's the real scoop. I've practiced and perfected my joinery over more years than I want to remember.

So anyhow, these guys Kreg come up with this plastc gizmo for installing pocket screws. Obviously, no match for my skill at attaching table legs, etc. Had to try this damn gadget out just to say to myself "Ha No match for my expertise". Figured I'd at least continue using the clamp and step drill on other ocassions.

First couple of tries and some blue plasic chips and I thought how right I was But I did notice some really nice and square joins. Stong too. Now I've gone through two pc. I don'partiularly enjoy eating crow but yes, I ordered the more expensive set.

Thanks Kreg I hate you guys. I've been renovating for 20 years, and have always constructed shelving with a routed joint--bullet proof construction, but very time consuming. This Kreg jig is a fantastic time saver, and makes replicating a breeze--if you needed 4 cabinets the exact size for instance. I am a HUGE fan- makes joinery a breeze.

I also highly recommend the Kreg clamp- it's fast become my go-to--automatically adjusts to thickness--another must-have tool! This product surely is genius and it's not the first one I owned.

But the reason for two stars is the quality assurance is poor. My drill bit fresh out of the paper sleeve is not straight. The hex part is crooked, renders it impossible to use, it is wobbly. See attached image Thankfully Amazon's one day replacement policy saved me time, only delayed work for a day. By Julian L.

I purchased this to add to my tools collection. The Mrs has been asking me to build some stuff and this was one of the main tools I needed.

Before you buy this consider where you'll use it. If you're drilling boards; how long will they be etc. My project had me drilling some 75 inch 2x4's which meant I had to be outside for the easiest maneuverability. That also meant my mounting location had to change.

You can see in my photo it takes up very little space. It's almost lost in all the things I was using for my project. Do you need a clamp? I can't really see using this without one but it's possible. You really don't need the kreg clamp. I used a long bar clamp and it worked great BUT the bar was slightly in the way.

I also suggest you get the pockethole clamp. That will really hold your pieces together nicely. It's like having a second set of helping hands. Consider the joint and the strength needed for what you're building. This thing is great but not the end-all be-all of joinery; just be safe and don't potentially ruin a project by choosing an easy pocket hole when maybe a dowel joint would hold better.

Etc Check the metal in your jig for burrs. It all cleared up with a pass through of the drill bit BUT if I wasn't cautious I would have put metal shavings onto the driveway for the cars tires to pick up or kids bare feet to step on.

Overall I'm happy with my purchase. This system has opened up a whole new world of furniture making for me. I don't Joinery Jig As Seen On Tv 3d have the space of finances to indulge in a full-size workshop, and this system does so much for me insofar as joinery is concerned. I attached a few of the many projects I've built as a result of owning this jig: cabinets for my stealth camper van, and a media console for my living room.

By Sarah on July 22, Great system. I've used this for a few projects now and it has been a super product four quick joinery. The cheap bit was a disappointment however. It broke and even a replacement shattered as well. I've been very careful about drilling properly but yet it seems the tip is very fragile. I'd suggest buying an extra bit just in case. Kreg needs to improve the bit strength!! I used it to build a workbench from 2x4 construdtion studs using nothing but pocket hole joinery.

No glue was required to make this bench an amazingly strong and sturdy worktable. I followed the directions from the Kreg video to build this bench. It came out exactly as the video showed. Took me two mornings to cut, drill and assemble this great workbench.

I recommend the Kreg Pocket Hole System to anyone who wants to build good strong furniture in a minimum of time and cost. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Otherwise sturdy and fairly versatile. Have been using it to build a laundry platform and it makes a huge difference between pocket screwing and end-screwing 2x4 SPF lumbers. Pocket screwing takes time but creates Joinery Jig As Seen On Tv Office a solid frame while end-screwing produces a wobbly frame.

I've found it out the hard way because after creating the bottom frame using the pocket screw method, I decided to create the top frame by just end-screwing the lumbers together to save time. The top frame was wobbly while the bottom frame was solid. I had to unscrew the all the pieces of the top frame and recreating it with the pocket method. Brand: High Street TV.
