Use wood filler on all of those pocket holes and anywhere else that might need it. Let that dry, then sand everything to grit with a sanding block.

You should paint or stain the frame now. I finished and sealed every part of this frame, top and bottom. That sealer helps to protect the bench from rain, snow, humidity, and any other woodworking plans outdoor sofa review that it might be exposed to.
