I'll make good use of it with replacement dogs for light cabinetmaking. A bargain for the price. Assembly was ridiculously easy. Well-designed and thought out. Solid construction I bought the cabinet option, which I imagine made the whole thing that more solid. Vices and bench dogs work great. This is not some cheap thing that looks like a workbench. It's the real deal. This is the smallest model worktable for the Sjobergs line but it fits my workspace room and needs.

I felt a need to reinforce it with some metal bracing, wood cross-bracing and added glue-up. It will still need some external anchoring when power tools are used. However, in the garage, I can move it around and temporarily brace it to the floor or wall. The Woodcraft Sjoberg Workbench Mac vises are conveniently located and hold the work without loosening. I'm still undecided about the fiber plastic bench dogs.

The price was good and it arrived intact aside from some external gashes in the cardboard. This is a great workbench. I don't know how I got along without a workbench. The vises are very nice and the overall fit and finish is excellent. Cant believe they woud take such a nice top and set it on cheap construction lumber. Cross brace split and wobbles like crazy.

Bought it on sale and not to sure I got my moneys worth becuase of the stand. Would definatly build a new one if I keep it. Somewhat easy to assemble. There needs to be a description that there is defintely two leg styles and how they are to be assembled. Did not purchase the cabinets with the unit. I will use the bench for Woodcraft Sjoberg Workbench 20 project construction and assembley. I have used this bench on three projects already and it really made my work easy. I build wooden boats and use this bench for small detail works.

I also build custom furniture and repair furniture by creating duplicate parts. This unit is attractive and will stand up under heavy use. The bench was very easy to assemble and is very stable considering its lightweight. There is virtually no racking front to rear, slight racking side to side. When I added up the costs and time to build my own bench and buy vises and dogs, this alternative was much better. If you need a more stable surface for delicate hand plane or chisel work you probably need a heavier bench like Sjobergs elite series.

I am not sure if this problem can be repaired or not. I still like my bench. The next question is would I recommend this to a friend? I would have to tell them about the vise problems and possibly recommend another bench. They did put a plastic slide on the sides, they should have put some on the bottom.

Took about 3 hours to assemble, but worth the time. Can't wait to use it. I have been looking for a good work bench for several years. I don't care for the euro style benches. This one is just like my old one except this one is sturdy and bigger. The cost is a little high but I think it will pay for itself. Vices are huge and sturdy. They have adjustments on the rectangular guides. Very beefy vices. Putting it together is a two man job. The top came in at about pounds.

Leg set was nothing compared to the top. Easy to assemble. I have not put the cabinets together yet. Instructions for the cabinets are a little lacking. Just pictures. But they should not be any trouble. I would have thought they could have opened the vices to finish inside the vices. But that is a small problem and easily taken care of with a little oil. Bottom line: I like my new bench. I saw this bench 6 months ago at my local Woodcraft store and was completely impressed.

It is a lot of money, but money well spent. I had no idea how long it would take to pay it off. I sold some personal items to make the sale. Every joint on this bench is absolutely perfect and flawless. I am astounded by this bench.

I never imagined I would be so passionate about a bench. A lot of people advise me and say I should have built my own, would never happen, I challenge any woodworker to reproduce this massive bench for the same money.

I looked at Pinnacle and Lie-Nielsen, but it is like comparing apples and oranges. Thanks SjobergsVP. I use this bench for all types of woodworking tasks. The top came very flat and is nice and heavy. The base is strong so there is no movement of the top or the bench when working on it. I've worked on Ulmia and Lie Nielsen benches and this is as good as and in some ways better than those benches.

The under cabinet is a nice add-on and the quality is top notch; the assembly was a breeze. It's very heavy just like I wanted. I can bounce my weight into it and it doesn't budge. I thought the cabinet was a little flimsy for what it cost. There was a little chip on one corner of the bench top that disgusted me but was too small to call and complain so I'll just live with it.
