I'm not sure at this point how or if I'll use the Sheldon on the new bench top. Mostly it's been a sweet little vise. The bench has a number of interesting features including the base being fully occupied by locking drawers and the frame held together by floating jointery and 4 big 'ol machine bolts.

Position the bench where you want it, loosen the bolts and it settles all 4 feet to the floor. I found a photo of one of their school workbenches with one of these vises on each side.
