The 2' lengths work fine for miter saw stations, but a crosscut sled works better with a solid track for the entire width of the sled. So I guess it just depends on the application. I have really put a lot of miles on my kits, and now I'm adding another.

I can say that I'm very pleased with this system, and if I was starting a new shop or expanding The flip stop is a particularly bright gem of the kit. Beautifully machined, solidly built, timesaver for accurate repeated cuts. You must build a table and fence combination in order to use this item on the typical miter saw. This jig is typical of Kreg Tool products - beautifully machined, high quality materials, robust design, good instructions photos instead of drawings would make the instructions excellent.

It assures repeatable cuts and higher throughput when making many repetitive cuts. I had to design and build a platform and fence before I could use this jig. My saw is mounted on a mobile stand so the design was a little tricky but the completed system is fantastic!
