Verified Purchase. As a long time subscriber, I am a lucky owner of practically every issue of Fine Woodworking, minus perhaps one or two, but knowing where to find the particular article, even with the printed indexes, can be very problematic. This DVD solves that problem nicely. If you are not fortunate enough to have paper copies this is pretty good substitute, but it is a bit awkward.

Even on a reasonably size monitor I have to blow up the print and then scroll back and forth to read it. And, of course, if you want to use the information as a step by step guide in your shop you will have to print it out.

This is a drawback of any DVD of this type and the reason I give it only 4 stars. Compared with other similar DVD's I own this is excellent and the searc feature works fine.

Someone must offer a better search engine Taunton could license for distribution than this mess. The smart firmware in the Pioneer struggled to read the disk by slowing the rotation rate down, but then speeding up again when the optical signal quality was very good, only to need to slow way down again.
