I have the Fein Turbo II vac and have been very pleased with it. Recently, I picked-up the Festool router and sander and planned to use the Fein vac with them. The connection of the Fein nozzle with the router is so-so, and the sander needs an adapter of some kind. So, does anyone have experience with making this work with something beside duct tape? My hope is that I could just attach a Festool nozzle to the Fein hose, but I’m not sure if this would work. Ideas?  I have a similar combination and ended up purchasing one of the Festool vacuum hoses. The Festool hose vacuum end plugs right into the Fein vac - doesn't lock in like the Fein hose does, but the fit is good, no leaks and no falling out. I usually keep the hose with the sander, and detach when I need it for the circular saw. But it has no on board storage and the variable speed on the Festool is variable while on the Fein it is stepped. My buddy has a few of the Festool vacs and was shocked at how quiet the Fein is. I own 4 Festool Vacs . and 1 newer Fein. The Fein works well. It IS quiet, consumables appear cheaper in cost like bags, but it’s my “value” vacuum since it doesn’t have adjustable suction except the bleed valve on the hose end like you mentioned and it doesn’t integrate with my Systainers. But for shop use and by the time you add in a cyclone in front of it, it generally becomes a stationary object and that doesn't really matter.
