For a roundover edge profile, would I normally pick the size that is around half of my stock thickness? I use a 3/8” round over alot on 3/4” plawood when makeing rocking. There are roundover router bits available that have a radiused bearing to follow the edge that is already router and give a clean finish. You use the regular roundover to do one side, then switch bits to the one with the radiused bearing to do the second and get a clean edge. Not sure where you would buy one, but they look like this. There are many ways of making bullnose edges like by using round-over router bit and beading router bit, but bullnose router bit is the best one which I also use for my woodwork.
