Managing ZooKeeper | x | Cloudera Documentation

Hardware¶ A production ZooKeeper cluster can cover a wide variety of use cases. The recommendations are intended to be general Open Source Hardware Group Sdn Bhd guidelines for choosing proper hardware for a cluster of ZooKeeper servers. Not all use cases can be covered in this document, so consider your use case and business requirements when making a final decision. ZooKeeper is a centralized service for maintaining configuration information, naming, providing distributed synchronization, and providing group services. All of these kinds of services are used in some form or another by Open Hardware Network Switch Group distributed applications. Each time they are implemented there is a lot of work that goes into fixing the bugs and race conditions that are inevitable. In a production environment, you should deploy ZooKeeper as an ensemble with an odd number of servers. As long as a majority of the servers in the ensemble are available, the ZooKeeper service will be available. The minimum recommended ensemble size is three ZooKeeper servers, and Cloudera recommends that each server run Open Source Hardware Group Name on a separate machine.
