I've never steam bent wood and after watching youtube videos on the process and all the custom ways you can make your own steamer I decided that it was far simpler to purchase one and spend my time working on my project and not on making a tool. The steamer comes with plans to build the steaming box which I followed.  If you are doing a wood bending project, I recommend this product and suggest you also look into steaming bags to simplify the process.
