It came packed very carefully with foam inserts inside to protect the fan housing. I have had it installed for about a week and I notice a significant reduction in the dust throughout my basement. If sawdust is ruining your finishes and your lungs, this is the tool for you! This is my first air filter so I am not comparing to other models. I found this unit to be quieter than expected. The fan is strong and provides a nice breeze in the shop.
