It cuts straight, It cuts even, It makes such a clean cut, You don't have to sand it. I'm cutting Mesquite, logs The mill has a good adjustable log gripers. The base is made from MDF but looks serviceable. The mill is designed to cut boards from a short log by cutting a flat on one side of a log and then placing that flat on the platform.

The mill is not designed to cut a log with 2 parallel sides since the fence is not not perpendicular to the platform. This jig allows for quick, safe lumber making on your shop bandsaw. I made a circle cutter as well; however with Carters you don't need to drill a hole through the stock for the pivot just a punch on the underside. You slide the stock into the blade on a tangent point cause the stock sits on a sliding pivot point; when the pivot locks in place you start the rotating cut.

It looks like nothing more than a thin bar that sticks out from the table. I hope to do table tops, plywood inches in diameter. Would this jig do it? Surprisingly that little arm does a good job supporting material that extends out from the cutting action. But for peace of mind, I would probably still support it with a stand of some sort.

Very cool jig. I have been in the market for a good circle cutting jig for awhile now. Thanks for the video. While the price might seem steep to most its versatility, ease of use, and accuracy that make it worth the money. Could it be simply me or does it look like some of these comments look like they are coming from brain dead visitors?
